Profile
My research focuses on tackling challenges at the social-ecological interface, aiming to develop sustainable strategies for natural resource use and harvesting. A major part of my work involves setting biodiversity targets and modelling protected species bycatch, with a focus on how human behaviour affects fisheries management and conservation. I also use social network analysis to explore how information and behaviours spread within fishing communities. In a separate project, I’m investigating the role of social influence in driving non-compliance with conservation rules. Currently, my research at IGB looks at how anglers perceive ecological regime shifts in the western Baltic cod fishery. By combining these approaches, I aim to contribute to more effective fisheries management and reduce human impacts on biodiversity.
