Award for Jonathan Jeschke

For their article "Defining the Impact of Non-Native Species" Jonathan Jeschke and his co-authors have now been awarded with the prize for the most cited publication from the year 2014 of the journal Conservation Biology.

The article highlights the various common definitions of the "impact of non-native species" and shows how future language misunderstandings can be avoided in this context. This will enable a better exchange between scientists, politicians and civil society actors, as well as a better understanding of species and ecosystem changes caused by non-native species.

Jonathan Jeschke is Head of the Ecological Novelty Working Group and Theoretical Ecology as well as speaker for the IGB program area Aquatic Biodiversity.
