What happens after you submit a grant proposal: back stage impression from DFG

  • how are the processes?
  • what will influence the funding decision? No-go and must-do
  • what can you learn from this?
  • how do you get on the board of reviewers?

Prof. Karlheinz Altendorf will share decades of experiences as a grant reviewer for German and international agencies, from years as head of a DFG review board, and as a board member of a foundation with you. So if you want to find out how the system works, what distinguishes successful from not-funded applications, what a no-go is and what a must-do in applications, please come and join us.
If you are more experienced already, you might want to find out how to get on reviewer panels or what international differences there are.

After the presentation junior scientists are invited to join a round table coaching with the speaker!

Host: Kirsten Pohlmann, Tom Shatwell
